Volunteering: "A day in the park" 2023 - Itatiaia National Park RJ with Birds Atlantic

On July 23rd, 2023, the "A Day in the Park" event was celebrated, and Birds Atlantic volunteered to lead birdwatching in the lower section of Itatiaia National Park.

The "A Day in the Park" project is an initiative that seeks to bring people closer to Conservation Units. This project is considered the largest mobilization action in favor of protected areas.

Visit to Hotel Ypê to photograph and observe the birds that visit the fruit and seed feeder. It was the location where the group saw the most different species in one place.

The realization of this event brought a very positive experience for all of us, as the participants, most of whom were beginners in birdwatching, connected with nature through the birds. It is worth noting that this event also encouraged people who were unfamiliar with the park, and others who hadn't visited it for many years, to participate in this experience.
